2 months and $9K later its done !!

Well almost still needs a little work but plumbing and electrical is done. All work has been done by me except the tiles on the floor, could of done it but need it done ASAP.

This is my first kitchen renovation and it took me a long time but I learned so much. For example the things I would of done different is laying the floor in diamond and the wall cabinets all the way to the ceiling.

I am soooo proud of myself.....first kitchen and I like the end product even though I wasnt sure of the maple cabinets I originally wanted laminated white.

tell me what you think and remember it still need another coat of paint.

Cabinets look crooked. Or is it a picture thats messing me up.

Looks good. I always look up to people who do the work themselves.
When did you do the work weekends or everyday? What was some of the obsticles you came across in doing it? Did you do minor changes or you riped everything out and put new stuff in?

Thank you for the compliments.

The kitchen is only the first phase for now, Im renovating my bathroom and re-finishing my wooden floors with a new coat of paint.

The apartment is being renovated for selling so hopefully it will pay off in the end.

I wouldnt mind doing the same. But i just rent dont own.

I actually got sick and tired of my bathroom and redid it on my own last year. Nothing fancy just striped down nasty *** hooks they had and put up all chrome and new cabinets and fixed up holes and repainted everything after smoothing out the walls.

This was my kitchen about a month ago....LOL

this is work in progress which was like a tornado hit it

I just finished replacing the water hose for my fridge from plastic to copper for durability issues and there was water everywhere hence the smudges on the floor.

The kitchen will look picture perfect once I put in the top molding kick plate and spotlights under the cabinets.

I used Home Depot tiles and cabinets on this one and I couldnt make the kitchen to masculine or feminine for re-sale purposes, I was also on a budget. This kitchen had to blend in to the overall apartment, its price range and made appealing for male or female prospective buyers.

One thing I did is go top shelf on all the appliances from the Fridgedaire fridge to the Bosch dishwasher and Malber washer/dryer combo. My stove is whirlpool high capacity with a 12,500 burner for cooking italian sauces . the microwave is G/E cabinet mounted. I love it !!!

since you didn't have any cabinets up,you should have wired an outlet into the cab above the microwave, instead of the amateur hour wire across the room. don't forget to buy some trim to enclose the washer/dryer. Other then take not too bad.
