Q about tire pressure sensor...
Q about tire pressure sensor...
...do we really need them? I went to get my tires replaced and 3 out of 4 of the valves broke. After the first one or two, you'd figure they'd stop but... they told me it'll be about $100 each to replace so I'm figuring I'll forget about it. I'm sure there will probably be a light coming on soon but is there a way around it? Who really uses that thing anywaze? BLaH~!

You can run without them if you want, just use regular valve stems and have the dealer disable the monitor.
Most of us don't have sensors in our winter setups and many aftermarket wheels won't accept them.
Don't forget to use your tire gauge every couple of weeks (you should be doing this even with sensors).

Did the shop switching your tires break them??? I'd make them pay for it. I don't think that the sensors break on their own. Also, it would be the last time I would even drive down the same street they are located on as this place doesn't sound very professional and something real bad is going to happen there, sooner or later.
Just my thoughts.

Hell yeah!!! They owe you some loot! Go back and demand payment or replacement! Considering you paid for them when you bought your car. Who cares what they say, I hope you won't be going back there anyway!!!
I dont know if the pressure sensors on the G are the same as the ones in the Z but when i got my Axis Pentas put on they transplanted them from the OEM rim to the Axis with no problem, I was in the shop and watched them do it. My gues is that the shop you went to might have been little careless.
