2004 G35 6MT with Factory Warranty - Setup for street/track - $26k obo

Hi,

Before I revert my G to stock, and list it on Cragslist, I thought I'd check if any enthusiasts are looking for a good dual use daily-driver / HPDE car that has been meticulously setup. I, and Mountain View's well known Custom Alignment, have spent the last 7 months tweaking suspension parts and alignment, to create a car that is both very comfortable to drive every day on northern California's terrible roads, and very effective at quickly lapping during high performance driver education events. And, it both looks and sounds beautiful.

(pictures attached below)

With VDC on, and the Tein EDFC controlled suspension set to a soft rear end, the car is a puppy to drive in the rain on the street. Feels as stable as our Audi Quattro. With VDC off, and the EDFC set neutral, to slightly stiff in rear, the car can be driven around Sears Point with the right foot. =) It can hold a tighter line than a stock E46 M3, and the steering feel and feedback is excellent.

Normally, I feel that a modified car has less value than a stock car, but I know this might not be the case for someone looking for such a dual use vehicle, and not wanting to spend the months of time/money tuning a car. I've spent thousands getting the car to this point - and it's much more than simply buying and installing parts. The owner of Custom Alignment just expects me to show up once a month now, while we discusses alignment changes in 1/10's of a degree, or 64'ths of an inch. The setup progress is measurable against a fairly competitive set of M3, 330i, and even GT3 drivers at the local Golden Gate Chapter BMW CCA driving schools. (This "Season's" 'C' group laps at a 'B' group pace. Most 'A' group cars have r-compounds, etc.) This G35 allows a good driver to chase down and pass a great many other good drivers, in their more powerful very track oriented vehicles. And, it's still more comfortable on the street! Unfortunately, my Vbox data logger wasn't hooked up during the last few driving events, so I don't have the GPS data available to show.

Here are the specifics:
Factory:
*2004 - 40k miles - factory warranty untill July '08 - good for anything that's not modified. (Have had several things taken care of under warranty.)
*Black Paint, Black Leather Interior
* _Every_ option available in '04 - Aero, Bose, Navigation, Sport Package, etc...
*'05 Sport Wheels - 19" Rays Engineering. ('04 sport wheels available seperately, as well)

After Market:
*Tein SS JDM spec coilovers - 392 f/ 392r spring rates - performance valving.
*Tein EDFC controller.
* Hotchkiss Front + Rear anti-sway bars
* GTSPEC front + rear lower tie braces
* GTSPEC center ladder chassis brace
* Stillen Front Strut Tower Brace
* Motordyne 5/16" Copper Iso-Thermal plenum spacer
* Stillen Z-Tube
* Pop Charger Cold Air Intake
* 4080 custom Subwoofer Box in trunk

Items such as the Japanese Spec Tein SS suspension are expensive to have imported to the US, but it provided the proper baseline for a dual-use car. It had the right compromise of spring rate and valving - to allow the EDFC controller to both create a comfortable street ride, and a controlled track ride. Most of the setup was done through careful evolution, testing, and refinement. (4 different suspensions were tested on street and track, before settling on this one.)

I know that it's usually more profitable to sell a car stock, and sell the aftermarket parts separately, but this would require undoing all the wonderful setup that has been done. The car drives so well as it is, I hate to undo that, before giving someone a chance to buy it as is. If there's no interest in a setup car, it'll end up on Craigslist, bone stock, with an off-the-shelf Wheelworks alignment. If interested, please *email me* soon, so as to save the car that humiliation! =)

In case anyone is wondering why I'm selling the car after all this effort and money has gone into it, I've just moved on to a new project... I decided it's time to "setup" something else.

Thanks.

Where are you located? ANd how do you have the subwoofer setup?

How is the paint? Any rock chips from track driving?

And rust? Any pics of the paint? Any engine bay pics? How about the condition of the said rims?

Any closer pics of those? And these have the brembo's too right?
