2004 G35 coupe 6MT, red/black, 113k mi (Seattle)

Note to admin: ** Please don’t delete post **
I’ve now included the picture with my username and date to prove ownership. I’ve been a long-time member of the forum, and although I don’t have a high post count, if you look at my history you’ll see the few posts I’ve contributed over the last 4 years have been useful to other members. You can also find my post history at other Nissan sites: Zilvia.net, TwinTurbo.net, and FreshAlloy.com.

Selling the G35c (VIN JNKCV54E54M308523) because my family and I have just relocated from suburban Atlanta, GA to downtown Seattle, WA, which isn't conducive to owning 2 cars. The car now has 113,XXX miles on it and has the following options:

· 6MT transmission
· Xenon headlights
· Brembo calipers w/ABS
· factory Rays 19" forged wheels
· limited-slip differential
· fully functional BOSE 6-CD changer
· dual-zone climate control
· sunroof
· full black leather interior
· leather shifter / steering wheel
· full OEM floormats front/rear (discontinued!)
· power tilt steering wheel
· dual power seats / ext. mirrors
· dual heated seats / ext. mirrors
· driver lumbar adjust
· Homelink
· tire pressure monitor system (TPMS)

Additional upgrades
· cross-drilled rotors
· Hawk HPS brake pads (http://www.hawkperformance.com/perfo...ormance-street)
· new (2012) SPL front lower arm inner bushings (https://www.splparts.com/SPLFLBIZ33.html)
· new (2014) Energy Suspension front lower arm shock bushings
· new (2012) Energy Suspension compression rod bushings
· replaced (2012) and upgraded both door lock actuators (OEM prone to fail)
· replaced driver (2014) + passenger (2010) camshaft position sensors (OEM prone to fail, and did!)
· new OEM spark plugs at 103k mi (Dec 2012)
· new OEM accessory belts (Apr 2014)
· custom-fabricated "hidden" 2-inch receiver hitch for bike rack, etc (not for towing!) - I've included pictures of this showing the hitch behind the license plate
· OEM JDM clear corners

A little history:
I purchased the car from a wholesaler in South Florida almost exactly 4 years ago with 80,XXX miles on it and drove it back up to Atlanta. I've driven it infrequently over the last 4 years, only about 8k mi per year, commuting a few days per week to/from my office in the NE ATL 'burbs. The car has always been garaged under my ownership (and appears to have been with the previous owner). I've regularly maintained the car at Gwinnett Place Nissan and have all records since 2010.

Cosmetically the car exterior is 9/10 for a car of its age and mileage never having been repainted. There are a couple of scuff marks near the lower rear passenger quarter, which I've tried to capture in the pics, which are mostly on the removeable clear-guard layer. There are the regular rock chips and caked-in bug splats on the front bumper, and a couple of smaller nicks on the rear. On the inside, the driver seat suffers from the tear in the leather right at the entry point of the car that every G35 coupe I've ever seen has (forgot to take a pic of this, but if you've been in a G35 older than 4 or 5 years, you've seen it). Another problem that plagues specifically "Laser Red" Gs and Zs is that Nissan decided to use single-stage paint only on the mirrors and rear spoiler. Because of this, the paint there tends to oxidize after exposure to weather/sunlight and look hazy. I try to minimize this by regularly applying a coat of carnauba-based wax to it (P21S), and it helps, but it doesn't look perfect. I've tried to capture this in one of the pics as well. The shift **** and steering wheel are a bit scuffed up, and in the back passenger side there is a section of the perforated-leather side paneling that is beginning to peel away, but could be easily re-glued by an upholstery shop.

Mechanically the car is very sound. Two annoying but minor issues: (1) sometimes the throwout bearing makes noise when pressing the clutch in to shift. It's done it since day one, and I had 2 separate master techs at Nissan assure me that it's purely a "cosmetic" noise and causes no additional wear on the tranny. (2) The other thing is the exterior ambient temp sensor sometimes reads ~20 degrees low, and this cause the auto climate A/C to reduce airflow thinking it doesn't need to cool the car as much. I replaced the sensor with a new OEM one in 2011 but it didn't fix it. I circumvent this by manually bumping up the fan speed when it happens (infrequent)...

Lastly, I know that the transmission was replaced under the original owner at 58k miles under warranty. I don't know why but I know that some of the earlier 2003-2004 G/Z's had synchro problems that caused grinding, and this unit was replaced by an '05+ transmission design which corrected this.

----

That's all I can think of - I like to be thorough, so if you've made it this far, you're serious about the car and hopefully you've found the info helpful. I have the title in-hand and can sell it whenever a buyer is ready. Please email/PM me with questions and I'm glad to answer them.
