Anyone interested in taking over my lease?

2005 G35 Coupe
Athens Blue/Graphite interior
6 speed
19 inch rims (with separate winter tires included)

Three year lease of which I have completed one (ends 2/08)
I pay 565/month
Family obligations will likely necessitate a sedan

Not anxious or in a particular hurry to do this but would like to guage interest...

You'd probably have better luck selling it for the payoff rather than finding someone to take over your lease.

I had the same problem...why dont you go back to your dealership and turn in for a sedan. I did the same thing with my 04c. New kid on the way so I made a lifestyle change from an 04c to a 05s. They gave me the same payment too. I had the 04c for only 10 months before i traded. Give it a shot.

not necessarily..

taking over the final two years in a three year lease is a good deal if someone knows they'll only want to drive a particular car for the near short term (which is what most of us are saying when we get three year leases)... in fact, it's better than any deal a newly leased vehicle will offer for a two year period, since, in this case, i have already paid taxes and cap cost reductions and the monthly payment is based on a three year schedule...

you essentially pay 565 X 24 months ($13,560), then you drop the keys off and leave or refinance for the residual (i believe it was quoted at 23k)

plus, the interest rate (ie, money factor) on this lease was favorable given the lending climate in february, 2005; i'd bet competitive or better than most personal auto loan rates today...

My biggest problem with leasing is the mileage. We put close to 25K a year on a car.

agreed, that's an issue... my lease allows for 12K a year, but i only use around 9-10K annually...
