2 screws in rear tire (still can drive fine)

Damn somehow I got 2 screw in my rear tire, I have 2005 Infiniti G35 fully loaded with sport tunned suspension.

I was driving my car for 2 days with a screw, everything seem to be fine but today I started to notice tire pressure dropping. I went to "Just Tires", ask them if they could patch or plug a tire, they told me, thread is on level 4, and should be 10. They not gonna fix it for a liability reason.
I have 24000 miles, i thought these tires should last longer!?

Anyway, the price I was given for each rear - $417 and about the same if I ought to change the front tires.

Current tires, Bridgestone P225/40WR19 tires in front and P245/40WR19 tires in the rear.

Can anyone suggest where I can get them cheaper or maybe get something as good? I'm confused should I get the original or not?!

How long can you actually drive with screws in your tire? I mean if you keep once a while inflating the rear tire.

i had a screw in my tire a few weeks ago

i actually did drive it for a day, but then i noticed it was leaking air

i didnt want to take the risk, so i paid infiniti 310 dollars to replace the tire.

if your tire blows, you're screwed.. you never know.. dont drive around with it

I had the same problem some 5 weeks ago at the dealer when my car was getting service. I asked them to check 2 of the tires for a slow leak. The rear they were able to fix. However, the passenger front was declared a road hazard due to the location of a screw. At my option, it could be changed for $328.00. That damn tire had a ton of tread left, as well. Rather than hunt for a new tire, I told the dealer to replace it. Shortly after that, I ordered new wheels and tires. My timing sucked.

why don't you just fix it yourself...go to pep boys and get a kit for $5. you don't even need to take your wheel off. fix it yourself in five minutes.

yes. unless you have threads showing through the tires or do 130 mph on a regular basis. if the puncture is not on the sidewall, you should be o.k. i imagine you will only have these tires only for a few more thousand miles anyway. i have never heard of anyone having a blowout becase of plugs. blowouts usually occur because of improper inflation, running over something, or tires overheating (alignment issue or underinflation issue).

If you got 24k miles on your tires, consider yourself lucky. Most people here with 19's need replacement at 15K. The 160AA tread rating on these tires gives it a short life span due to the nature of the beast (performance driven with soft compound).

My suggestion if you want to stretch out the life of your tires without ordering a new set yet. Don't take it to 'commercial' places that have guidelines for trying to sell you a new set. Take it to a local garage/gas station and get it plugged right there. $15 to get the screw plugged in my tire about a month and a half ago, and it's still wonderful. I'm at about 9000 miles on my G now, so the tread is still great.

Good luck.

Most places dont plug tires anymore, they patch them. Just have them put a patch from the inside of the tires.

It's always the safest to get the new tire, but I would plug or patch it for now, while you search and look for the best deal on new tires since your thread is getting pretty low. I never heard of tires blowing up, so I think most likely you'll get leaking air again if the plug/patch is done incorrectly.
I only have 18s, but they could be expensive too, and since I don't push my car to the limits at all, I got 4 rear tires used for the price of one new one on ebay. As long as your know what you doing, choice is up to you. Oh, and I would stick with the OEM tires if you sticking with OEM rims.
