Re: Same street, different race

When I first got my G35C in November I used to race everybody but now it's dumb (mostly b/c of tickets and stuff) but if some punk kid pulls up in a pimped out Civic I just blow him off. I only CONSIDER racing people with real cars (Integras, IS300s, etc.). I just ignore the Civics, Cavaliers, etc.

Re: Same street, different race

yup integra can be fast if they put turbo or supercharger on... but most of the time it's will be mostly bolt ons... at least in my area... since when is300 is real cars? i though MT is hits low to mid 15s... of course if IS300 put F/I it will be different stroy though...

Interesting, my friend has a 1998 integra type R with a $6000 turbo kit $2000 suspension kit $3000 body kit for a grand total of roughly $37000. It is fast, but he is one dumb motherfu*ker. Do you know why because 2 weeks after install everything some one jack his ride and insurance only pay him $17,000. Ha, Ha, Ha, to fix ups.

yeah that iron block in the is300, same as the supra engine without the turbos.

while the G can kill an is300 stock vs stock, F/I IS300 is disgusting.

I've read about people getting upwards of 500 hp to the wheels.

Re: Same street, different race

..I'm in the same area you are in. I'm tempted to believe that alot of folks in the Chicago area are just plain stupid. I've been at a few stoplights with cars (and trucks) that are completely worthless, next thing I know when the light turns green they floor it.
Last complete joke was a Mazda Protoge? I dont even know how to spell it. That jackass actually thought his car was faster.
Like I told my fiance, I guess every time I'm at a light, just floor it. I was trying to limit my "racing" to those cars who could actually present a challenge, but obviously the majority of the population have no clue how slow (or how fast) our cars are.
Ah well - good luck to all!

Re: Same street, different race

well to get back on the subject of radar detectors, I bought my Valentine about two weeks ago, thing is amazing. I took a road trip to jacksonville, I used to go to school there. It is about a 2 and half hour trip from Melbourne, where I live. I went to go visit some buddies and decided to get ballzy and test it out, I got it up to 140. And every cop that had his radar detector on I got, especially state troopers, I had their KA band like 5 minutes before I finally saw them. I love my valentine, and I would recommend it to anyone.
