Clearance strip light ?

Im planning to change just that long strip light or clearance light on the front, the question is is it illegal to change it to blue? I'm planning to put the PIAA wedge bulb..

Yes, its illegal. Will they care? Doubt it. With all those nasty led washer lights, no one really notices the clearance strip unless they are 20feet away.

I had really really blue lights in there for about two days. I was scared big time that I was going to get pulled over. I then switched to a less blue light. Its still noticeably blue, but its a nice compliment to my CB.

Having any red or blue illumination facing forward is a big no-no unless you are driving a police cruiser, ambulance (red/blue), or fire/rescue unit (red). If you want to change the color, stay away from red & blue.

LOL! I've got both red AND blue lights on the front of my vehicle. I have pics of the blue clearance light, but my red light is only for special occasions

This is the PIAA Plasma Blue Wedge Bulb 168:

This is the PIAA blue/blue LED

And this is a modified blue/white LED

Personally, unless you have CB, blue lights don't suit the car.

what fog lights do you have in Afro? I have in Piaa Xtreme White, and they look better than they do in the pictures in matching the HID's, but yours look spot on!

Re: Clearance strip light ?

I've got CATZ Aqua White h4s. They are ok. Dead on from far away and when looking straight at it. Its off by just a little when you look at it from the top, like in that pick. The only thing I don't like is that the bulb reflects blue in the housing. So it kind of has that ricer effect during the day. I have CB, so I don't mind as much.

As for replacing the bulbs, there are a million and one posts on how to do it, but you figure one of these days, someone would take pics with instructions. But turn the wheel so you can access the wheel well. Pop out five clips and one screw. Bend the cover back and you should be able to access everything.
