Is there a way to check throttle position by computer?

How can I find out if my car is giving 100% open throttle when I have the accelerator to the floor?

Is there a Vag-com type of thing I can plug in to see the A/F's and throttle percentages?

Can you explain why? That doesn’t sound good.

Why such a cryptic response?

when you hook up a data logger it'll either give you a voltage or a conversion from the read voltage to an approximate Throttle postion.

the voltage say 0 - 5 V when at WOT is usually high 4 volts.. which reads from 92 - 97%.

if you are worried that the TB bttterfly isn't opening all the way you should verify this visually and not through electronics.

thats how they designed the throttle to work...you can rid this by getting an aftermarket reprogram

I JUST got the L-Spec flash from Technosquare last week. They change WOT to 100% instead of stock 80%. They up your rev limiter by 500 rpm also. Oh and they remove the factory set speed limit (145mph, this was really slowing me down )

because after about 5000RPM at WOT the throttle body starts to close to like 80% of so to "encourage" you to shift. Totally gay.

Thottle-by-Wire at it's finest.

you try this reset?

Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
It is better to count the time accurately with a clock.

Operation Procedures
1. Perform “Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning”.
2. Perform “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning”.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
with M/T, fully depress clutch, and hold in
5. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)
7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.

Would be nice to just throw a wired throttle body on there, but I imagine that this would throw a SES. Might as well get the reflash, remove speed limiter, raise redline and fix throttle all in one shot.

6mt?

Does this apply to the 6mt? I'm guessing it does not, because if anything my car makes a lot more power above 5500rpm. Also, the 6mt already comes w/ a 7100rpm redline, and I doubt I need it moved up by another 500rpm to 7600rpm. Plus, I see pics of people exceeding 145mph in their 6mt's, so I wonder if there is even a speed limiter on it.

Anyone with a 6mt have evidence of a performance improvement (dyno, 1/4 mile times, etc) by doing a drive-by-wire remap?
