I've had my G for 3 weeks now. LOVE IT! Will do a longer post on that soon... But for now, a problem. I drove about 500 miles over the weekend, all highway. Must have hit about 200 butterflies. Washed off the G this afternoon, but noticed that bugs with "yellow guts" are leaving a stain on my clear bra. Rubbed like crazy to no avail. If it matters, I've got a 3M bra with 3 coats of Crystal Guard quick on it. Anyone know how to handle this problem? Thanks in advance!

 

I clean mine with Windex and it seems to remove the more colorful splats..

clay baris the best. Not sure if it will affect clear bra but just detailed my sedan and it worked wonders on the bug spats that did not come off witht he normal wash

Congrats on your purchase. As for the bugs stains, let your car sit in the sun for a day or so after washing. The spots will eventually fade.

you can get one at home depot for like $3...
it works on bugs, watermarks, and bugs on windows.. etc..

 

Why do you have a clear bra on the front of your car???

Whoa whoa whoa, wait a second.....this is the $10,000 dollar question.....why would someone have an accessory that prevents or limits rockchips on the FRONT of their car???? I'll give you some time to think.

But if you seriously don't know what a clear bra is/does, then search for some posts.

Car&Driver used a product called RejeX on a long-term A4 road test on their August '03 issue. RejeX creates a less than a micron thick polymer coating that makes your life easier when you try to clean any debris off. The company makes RejeX also makes a lubricant calls CorrosionX, which is much much better than WD-40 and it also stops and prevents corrosion and rust. I been using CorrosionX for a very long time. I just ordered the RejeX which I will apply it to all my cars' bumpers and wheels.

clear bra serves same purpose as black bra, except that you can only see it if you are right up front. protects car from rock chips, etc......

Yes it serves the same purpose as the black bra (leather???). The only diff is that the clear bra is permanent while the black bra can be remove and washed if necessary. One more thing I hate it when people refer to it as BRA. It's like calling GI Joe a doll (it's and action figure) I want to refer to it as a nose mask LOL! Picky little ***** aren't I?
