Crash Test-Good News
I saw a report on Insurance Institute crash tests from 40 mph on TV last night and the G35 got top ratings right up there with Mercedes. All the air bags work great and protect occupants. I guess we have a crap bumper but the rest of the safety systems protect us in a state of the art fashion.

Yes, I saw that G35 crash test that the Insurance Institute did on a different TV show about a month ago about car crashes. They tested a sedan - I cringed when I saw them wreck it in slow motion, but I was relieved to see it did very well in the test, and the entire passenger compartment was intact, and the tester commented that the car did very well, and there would be virtually no injuries in that crash on a G35.
I hope I never test that feature of the car, but its good to know. Hopefully we'll get some insurance discounts after the car is out for a while. I get a good crash rating discount on my Z06 from my insurance company.

Re: Crash Test-Good News
The 350Z received 5 out of 5 stars for Driver and 4 out of 5 stars for Front Passneger from NHTSA. I am hoping the G35C will get a similar score.
Anyone else here agree with me when I say that it seems like the back seats are a death trap? Whenever I have my friends in the back, the low roofline makes their heads almost touch the glass, which can't be a good sign. And my 8 year old brother (100lbs) sits back there whenever him and I go somewhere together...I really don't feel like it is that safe back there. =(
