Raced a 330 Dinan

Coming back from Newport beach on the 55, a bmw 330 Dinan pulled up next to me before we got on the freeway. We both were driving at a moderate pace until we both glanced at each other and all hell broke out. Keep in mind I have an auto and I was in tip tronic in 5 th gear. We both took off at around 65 mph he began to pull half a car length ahead of me real quick so I shifted out of tip tronic. I gradually began to pull on him slowly until we hit around 130. By the end of the race I had half a car length on him. What I dont understand is considering it was Dinan, the car was real qucik around the lower rpms, but at high rpms his car began to just drop in speed. But it was an amazing race.

Dinan offers mods to improve your suspension and braking, aside from their normal engine mods (they even offer wheels). It takes 10 points worth of Dinan mods to get a Dinan badge. So basically, it may have been a 330 Dinan, but it may have been the same un-tuned 225hp engine stock.

if it had the stock ECU and not the Dinan then the car is limited to 130mph.

It could have been a regular 330 Ci wit a "Dinan" Badge. If it would be Dinan, it should be the "Dinan 3" running 2.8 litre engine (not a 330). Just my .03 cents. Nice race tho. By the time I get my coupe...there will be many 330Ci for me to hunt down...
