My new to me G has the oh so not cool deflector over the moonroof. Looks like its got a couple screws holding it down and the rubber weather strip is stuck on the painted part of the roof. Has anybody removed one of these without damage to the paint? I'd like to get that thing off since it's killing the lines of the car.

 

Remove the screws, pull the thing off, clean the underlying paint, and wax, if needed. That's all there is to it. The strip is not stuck, the whole thing's just screwed down tight.
