G35 handling & exhaust
sup all,
i am getting my borla exhaust installed this friday. i am so happy.
i got my eibach sway bars put in this past weekend and what a difference. the handling on the g is already sweet, but i was taking turns at 45-50 like no one's business.
has anyone done anything else to their suspension? or other mods?
03/mt 6sp/injen cai/pulleys/borla (this fri.)/fr. rr./sway bars
i am so glad i junked my m3, that thing was a p.o.s.

I just swapped my fronts to 245/40's. I posted about it in another thread. I have a set of Eibach sway bars on order that should arrive by the end of the week. How many adjustaments are there on them? Do they say in the instructions what the stiffness ratings are for each?
i am really starting to live the handling of the G. I autocrossed a Miata for 3 years, so I know a lot about how to get a car to handle right. It isn't a miata, but it is incredibly stable. Without the sway bars, there is only light body roll, turn-in is surprisingly good, tracking and steering feel are both excellent.

good question, i haven't really gone over any hard bumps. i drove a 99 M3 for the last few years as my daily driver. it was slammed, so i am still driving as though i have a slammed car. i am sure you all can relate. if someone so much as throws a cig. out the window i change lanes.
anyways i will try to check our your question. but i haven't the rear to hop at all so far.

i thought the M3 was a p.o.s. because little things kept going wrong. the truck latch stopped working, tranny went out at 30K, always seemed to pull to the right no matter what mods. tried to adjust it. it was an impulse buy so i got what was coming to me i guess.
can you believe the CA dmv turned down my plate request of
G SPOT35
i am pissed.
but i love the g35 i drive now, so all is good in xrated's hood.

My Cusco bars are stiffer than the Eibach bars and I don't have any problems with bumps under hard accelleration. I don't have wheel hop under any circumstance either.

hey xrated, sounds like a good deal...You will like the Borla exhaust note, it is much better than stock, not too much louder, just alot deeper, that is, until you hit 4 grand and after that it sounds very exotic.

wow, i love the exhaust. got it put on yesterday and Rambo you are right. it is not too much louder but it has a much deeper tone than stock.
i do notice more low end power, and i hit 90 really quick on the CA freeways, so i don't think i lost anything on the top end. so the borla system seems all good.
great price, and great results...gotta love it....now i just need to think of what's next....the hubby has got $$$, and i need speed.
any suggestions?????? i would love to hear them
