Hey Truplay, Do you know any other companies that produce similar clear corners from the ones at clearcorners.com? As long as they look good and are Dual LED i dont mind. Ofcourse, as long as the price is cheaper than 300.

For some reason I have a thing for LED lights

Hopefully by the time holiday season comes they might miraculously have them for about $100 less. Then I might think about getting them. But I doubt they'll do that.

LED clear corners

I think they are well worth it, with the amount and cost of time, equipement, parts..

even though $310 per pair is really deep..but I dun think there are that many people out there that are willing to spend the time to do this ..and do this correctly.. i.e. seal the **** properly, find a perfect led circuit board mounting point, color match the inside,etc..

No, not at all. But I plan on getting them just because I like them and am dumb enough to spend 310 bucks on a set of clear corners lol. And no I don't mean this to sound like I'm a rich snob cause I'm anything far from it, I just don't mind spending money for something I really want, even if its probably a completely dumb idea and whatnot. So with that being said, yes I think they are worth it, but my opinion is about worth the breath used to let it be known ( or in this case the energy expensed to type this out lol).
LOL.. one of theee best posts ive read in a while

Since I live 5 miles away from their location, I am going to try to do a little business with them face to face, see if I can bring it down a little (100 bucks )

Im a good bluffer, so hopefully I can mislead them into thinking that Ill only buy it for a reasonable price; that'll give them something to mull about. They're making a **** load of profit on them anyways.

FYI

Btw, the ones in the pics are DIYed by me...not from clearcorners.com. However, after finishing those, I came to realize that it cost me around that price to make them.. (in terms of time, equipement and parts)

I've made these for a couple of people. They are worth the cost IMO. I used to think their prices were outrageous until I've spent time and money building a similar setup. Parts and labor alone, a basic setup will run about $100 if you were to do it on your own. Getting into an elaborate setup with multiple rows and blinking, the cost can easily get up there in parts/time.

Good Point.

I found an article on how to build a Single LED Clear corners. It seemed pretty basic, but the equipment needed was pretty up there (in total costs). Now the ones clearcorners.com make are very technical (and therefore very nice) and im pretty sure I wouldnt be able to make these mylself.

Unless there's a way to secure them, they are just too easy to steal. Takes literally just a few seconds to pop them out. Looks cool though.
