Anyways, I'm sure you've had a pretty bad experience with a domestic, so it's understandable for you to express your opinions.
Derek173 has cracked the code on the confusion.
GBoyVA, I'm getting the impression that you may not be familiar with the source (apologies if I'm mistaken; please correct me if I'm wrong).
Top Gear is a British publication and show, hosted by some pretty capable folks, who enlist a professional driver for their test laps (the "Stig".) The test times are marred by the fact that it is after all England, and debate still rages wild whether or not it was Newfoundland, England, or here in Nova Scotia where rain was invented, thus for some cars, the Stig has a wild wet ride on his hands (but amazingly still manages to keep it out of the kitty litter and dandelions.) As such, they only test cars that are available to them in the UK, for the most part. Infiniti will be established over the coming year/year and a bit, in Europe, supposedly- look forward to a test of the next G Coupe following its intro, with any luck.
Recommend a search or surf on the other cars board for some awesome vids from the show.
Side-note: IMHO, the real drag about the show is that Jeremy, the host, is excessively Euro-centric, really slagging anything that's been made in Asia or America, which to some extent, reduces his credibility in reviewing anything from off-shore.
The 350Z and RX8, if I recall correctly, posted 128.33 each, better than the last Boxter (S?) they tested (last gen). Regrettably, his comments on both the Z06 and 350Z were very derogatory. Where this all falls apart for him is simply this- he's alone in his opinion, as he stated it. Both these cars represent phenomenal performance for the price. This, I don't believe, is up to debate. Even fellow journalists from the UK (CAR magazine for example) recognise and respect these cars for what they are. As refined as a new 911 Carrera S, or new Boxster S? Perhaps not. But at a fraction of the price, an absolute hoot to drive.
Cheers,
Derek
p.s. check out the Z06 Top Gear Stig lap- it may be one of the "untidiest" laps I've seen on the show, but I'm also pretty sure that if you could see thru the helmet visor, the Stig I'm certain had a wild*ss grin on his face as he devoured a set of Goodyear F1s

There was a "black stig" before, which came out publishing his book and announcing he was the stig, so top gear got rid of him and got a "white stig." I have a 61mb compilation of black stig, Ill try to see if I can upload somewhere.

Both Top Gear show and 5th Gear show tested it and bot Jeremy Clarckson (Top Gear) and Tiff Needell (5th Gear host) liked it.
Porsche Carrera GT, this is the best example I could find already online...

Jeremy Clarckson reviewing it and then the stig driving it.

That engine sounds amazing.....
GboyVA Sorry to say but the vette is the greatest sportscar ever produced over the past 50 years. A C6 isnt much more then a fully loaded coupe. and I dare you to run one. Also a Z06 is a whole new animal. Ride shotgun in one for a day and you will be amazed its only 70k.
Meth68,
Rather inflammatory in a "IMHO" kinda way, don'tcha think? IYHO,...blah blah blah...greatest...ever...
You may find some other opinions here- perhaps expressing yours as such would be best, IMHO
[Just got in from detailing the interior. Keyboard now smells of zaino leather cleaner and conditioner here, so if I become more incoherent than usual, you'll know why]
