I was on my way home from the movies when a new Z06 comes up from behind and starts cruisin like he wanted to run. We stop at the light and asks me what kind of exhaust system i was running, so i replied a y-pipe back exhaust (cause i figured if i said pro-1 he would have had no idea) and he replies by saying it sounds mean...and i said thank....then he drove away and made a right.......... i thought it was nice coming from a vette driver........+ 1 Pro-1 lol

 

Nice to know vette drivers arent cocky or arrogant. I myself hope to someday own a C6 Z06

I myself hope to someday own a C6 Z06

It's hard to buy a C6 Z06 without paying a huge dealer markup. If you can get one for under $80K, you are very fortunate. I have a friend in NJ who bought one from Kerbecks for only $1K over the sticker. He kept it for six months and sold it for $2K more than he paid for the car, and he had over 3K miles on the odometer.

 

I speak from experience of giving GM a try with a WS6 that fell apart, and watching other dis-satisified GM owners turn this company into American shame and it won't be around in its present form another five years without serious tax payer bail out. Plus you speak nothing from the obvious European bias that excluded anything decent from Japan in the survey of lap times. Nice to see the Nissan did tie the M3 although. You speak from your back side and it probably gets allot of use out there in N Hollywood.

I don't think GBoyVA was being ignorant with the FIRST comment, you think about it, how come the Skyline GT-R Z-Tune, or Regular GT-R isn't on that list? I don't even think it was even compared at all. Its probably kind of how Sport Compact Car is favored to the EVO and SRT-4 rather than the WRX or WRX STi.

Calmed down, and sorry to get personal, just mad somebody couldn't debate the issues. Who conducts the lap comparisons? Where are the real Japenese contenders? Why would someone want an American Car?

 

1. they have a pro race driver called the stig who runs the laps in the car

2. They just run cars they are reviewing on their test track, I dont think the Infiniti G35/Skyline 350gt is out in the UK. Also what Japanese contendors? What Japanese Cars can make the top of that list? Not many unless modified ( I think they only run current production stock cars)

3. Why would someone want an american car? Your statement is kinda ignorent, Corvette is one of the best sports cars in the world, the new Z06 murders anything in its price range and many many cars 3 times its price. name a japanese or german car you can buy for brand new with 500hp for around 70-75k
