The "V" in the vehicle identification number (serial number) is the code letter for the vehicle line "INFINITI". He may have swapped transmissions with a Murano, but I don't know if mechanicaly it would fit, in addition electronic control of the transmission would be almost impossible to convert over. I'm 10minutes away from Crofton MD, and I have never seen this car around. My vote goes for douche!

Therefore situations such as the one you encountered do occur from time to time.
