OK I have a 06 auto COUPE.
All I have been able to do is, set the two seat settings.
Also, I have set my seat memory to my Keyless FOB thing, so if my seat is not in the correct possition (im the only driver so it will NEVER change ) when I hit unlock on the FOB thing my seat goes to the memory position?? That has nothing to do with AUTO IN/OUT???
I just dont get it, I called the dealership where I got the car and my sales ladie said she just did it with the coupe??? She said that I should bring it in???
Can anyone with a 06 AUTO COUPE verify that you can or cant do this feature???

Thank you

if you read page 156 on the manual posted a few posts up, it explains how you get to work in the Automatic Driver mode. I tried it in the rental G35 sedan I got from the dealer a few months back to see the difference between auto and manual trans features.

"The entry/exit function can be activated
or cancelled by pushing and holding the
SET switch for more than 10 seconds
while the ignition switch is in the LOCK
position."

I do that on my automatic and after 5 seconds it blanks but nothing else happens. I hold it for lke 15 seconds and still nothing.

I do have my memory and my keyfob programmed, just did it.

Keaj,
I think Hitman is refering to the sedan.... Im not sure, but my thoughts are that its only offered on the sedan. If you go to the infiniti web site and compaire the sedan to the coupe it shows a line item, (this Auto feature we speek of) only on the sedan info...

Say , theres a person sitting in the back behind the driver. If there was an assist it will sandwich the persons legs in the back. This is why it was not made for the coupe due to the limit space. But theres an assist button for the back passenger .

Somehow the manual was screwed up and overlooked.

the Coupe does not have the entry/exit system. it only has memory seats. the entry/exit is only available on the sedan

this is stupid.. the coupe needs to have the auto entry/exit assist.. it's so hard getting out of my garage.. i have to manually pull the seat back

I just followed the manual, but slowly and methodically to get memory position #1 for me and memory #2 for GF. But regardless of that it should always move out of the way when ignition is turned off and resume last position when ignition engaged. If you hsve the premium package and it does not comply then it sounds like a warranty issue to me. Let the dealer figure it out.

That makes sense but they should do it like the sedan, where you can turn it off or on. If someone is in the back, you can turn it off.

This is the idea I had, but not sure if it will work.

Setting 1 could the be steering wheel all the way up and the seats to the back.
Setting 2 could be your normal setting, the way you like to sit.

When you exit your car, press setting 1 on teh seat, and it should skoot you back and stuff.

When you enter the car, press setting 2 on your seat to get your normal position.

You could program setting 1 to your keyfob, so when your approaching you car you have it go to an entry position while you are getting in it.

Maybe there are some flaws cause i thought if it in my head....

Not exactly automatic but would get the job done.
