Why are people so stingy?
Why is that when some one receives an amazing deal on some product or service they are reluctant to release any contact information so that others can take part in such great savings. Am I the only one who has noticed this? Share the wealth people

Heh.. I'am with you on that one. Sadly, that is the way that most people are. Some people claim it took them a lot of effort to find the source, and it's not fair to give it out to others just like that.
It's just how it is, have to learn to live with it =(

Re: Why are people so stingy?
I think he is referring to a few posts where people say they got such and such a deal on a G but will not post the name of the dealership.
Let me help him out....If the poster posts the dealership and you like the deal...go. If they do not post the dealership, most likely they did not really get the deal they claim they did.
It seems to me that the overwhelming majority of those who got a great deal on this board...and that includes cars, parts, etc.....seem very happy to help point others in the same direction.

I think the trick is that if the person who claims they got a great deal on a part or the car itself does not post info on how to get the same deal, we should just try asking. I know that sometimes I forget to post where I got a certain aftermarket part for my G from, I am more than happy to point that person in the right direction if they ask. =)
Re: Why are people so stingy?
Not always true, I got a good deal and I told people that were looking with me, and they helped me out too.
Back when I posted.... I didn't want to give the dealership, because nothing was set in stone, and wanted to keep my deal as sweet as possible. But I was willing to help others, anytime!

i custom ordered a 2004 6mtC in early June. only factory option was sunroof and trunk mat..
got 1250 off msrp (orig 1000 but the price increase of 250 was not passed to me).
no dealer prep fees.
i later bought rubber mats splash guards for a total of 249. they threw in wind deflector (which i held off them installing), wheel locks, cargo net and an oil change or two.
Douglas Infiniti, Summit NJ, Gil Coronado was salesman.

i shared this ealier and i know of one person who definitely got similar deal and another who was offered the same.
