Oh Sh*t! Help!

I left two glasses of pop in the cup holder and they eventually leaked through the bottom of the cups! They leaked into the nice suede-like compartment of the console. I sopped up the excess pop, but I was wondering if any would have leaked to below the console, inside it maybe. Can anyone tell me what is under the console - maybe something important? I wouldn't think people would know unless they have taken out the console for some reason or replaced it with the new one. Help! What should I do now?

Re: Oh Sh*t! Help!

appearently, an airbag harness : / disconnect the (-) term on the battery before getting in there. Be sure to drop your windows before disconnecting the batt.

Not sure about the automatic, but the only things under there for a 6MT electronicwise is the heated seat switches. It might make your handbrake sticky. I doubt it will get anywhere near the shifter area.

Re: Oh Sh*t! Help!

Be carefull man! Check out my thread regarding the accidental deployment of the air bag caused by removing the console around the shifter. Definitely disconnect the battery and let the systems discharge fully before attempting anything in that area. The main SRS module and sensors are right under the console.
