Brembo Brake For 06' ?

Wanted to know if anyone has put brembo's on their G that did not come stock? I checked the brembo site and it is does not have the G listed as an application... I am really just looking for a comparable system.... Thanks for the feedback....

Yeah I was a little pissed knowing that they didnt have the brembo's on the 06 G. I had brembo's on my STi, and with 25grand on the car I had no problems with them. The dealer told me they stopped using brembo because people were wearing out the brake pads to quickly. If they knew how to drive right they wouldnt burn them out half as fast.

That is BS dealer speak to rationalize Infiniti's decision. How many people here have worn them out prematurely. It is the OE Infiniti brakes that had problems those years that the extended warranty coverage was applied to.

yeah, when i was buying my 05, my dealer tried to tell me that they stopped using brembo, because they realized that the "infiniti" brakes were out performing the brembos. weather they were or they wernt, i guarantee thats not the reason. it ALWAYS comes down to money.

Inside Info from a local Nissan regional manager on why they stop using brembo is because people cry about the price of the pad replacement cost and I am petty sure that would be the most likely reason is because their is many people come to my work that drive Track Z and GT Zs and they cry night and day about the cost to change the pad on they brakes! Rich people=the cheapest people on earth! LOL

+1 Pads were very expensive and didn't last particularly long. Lots of people buy the car that aren't really wild about shelling out several hundred bucks for brake pads on a 30-35K car (hardly rich person territory).

My Brembo pads lasted over 30k miles and I switched over to Project Mu pads. The stock pads still had reasonable amount of life left over even then. I could have gone another 10k miles with them probably. Nissan/Infiniti simply just wanted to cut production costs by not offering Brembos. To me, it was a big selling point but I guess Nissan thought not that many people cared about Brembos. Stock non-Brembos are good enough for street use with decent pads.

Anyway, if you get aftermarket big brake kit, it will probably outperform stock Brembos.

Yes, they stopped offering brembos to

save a dollar or two but they did it for very good reasons: to give us more toys. From the 03-04 compared with the 06 (which I have) they gave me a better supension, bluetooth phone link, 19-inch forged rims, bi-xenon, and a better interior. The extra cost of all of these new things had to come from somewhere--the brembo brakes and a slight price increase. The OEM brakes performed just as well as the brembos for street use and had better "life". The brembos are better for track use, but how many of you guys really track your cars. For most people who have brembos and stoptechs it's just for the bling factor and not much else.

Bremo brakes + few hundred dollars = 19 wheels + bluetooth + bi-xenon + better interior

I'm in!

...just another take on this topic!
