The main reason though im looking to get the rev limiter up so high is because i always hit the rev limiter at 6700 rpm even if i shift it at 6600 (from the auto delay) and it slows my 1/4 mile down. I want it raised higher so i dont ever have to worry about hitting it i dont plan on actually taking it to 7500 just want it so i dont hit the rev limiter

hope that made some sence haha

if ure hitting the rev limit then why not shift at 6300 so with the delay auto it will land right around redline.

i think you lose power if you shift before your rev limiter....

You want to rev past the power peak for optimal acceleration. However the largest engine loads are inertial, so I'd be careful over-reving.

To my knowledge gear ratios have not changed across the years.

Wait 3 month and you can have the 7500rpm redline. The redesigned G35 sedan will have a 7500rpm redline on the VQ35 HR motor. (supposedly 80% new parts vs the current motor) It's rumored to output appx 320hp with better fuel milage than our current motor.

Hmm I wonder if it is a REAL 320 hp this time.
