Regarding the CLICKING

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB05-002.htm

I took my car in today to get it resolved.. the jerk service writer told me it'd cost me 100 dollars for him to look at because the suspension has been worked on (my car is lowered on STECHS)... so I was like, I thought it's the AXEL... and he was like it's the suspension cuz it continues as you're driving.

Of course I said, "but it happens as I start to accelerate!! Long story short I left empty handed =T

(Car under warranty)

Please advise!!

they cannot do that. Mention the Magnuson-Moss act. they CANNOT deny you any warranty work unless they can actually prove your modification caused the problem. in this case, the springs have NOTHING to do with it. ive had a full coilover setup and had nothing said about that. google the magnuson moss act and if they refuse to do it again just show them that. if they STILL refuse, talk to the service manager, tell him to shove it, and head over to another dealer. dont go back there for service again so they won't make any money off you

Go to infiniti of Mission Viejo. I have had suspension work (which they know about) and they fixed the rear axle clicking with no problem and no cost to me. Great guys there.

A little OT, but I had this "clicking noise" repaired last week and now its back again. I called and made another appointment at my dealer, has any1 else had to have this fixed more than once????

^+1 although I would not tell the service manager to shove it before doing the following.

I would ask for that response in writing though so you can report it to Infiniti. Tell them that and my guess is they may change their mind since your suspension mod has nothing to do with your clicking issue and does not involve any more work for them.

In any case I would not likely get the work done at that dealer unless the Service Manager apologizes and concedes that the response from their service writer was wrong and not their policy. If not run from them and be sure they know you will be reporting to Infiniti and letting others know of your experience.

I hear this same "clicking" noise but only when I'm coming to a stop. It sounds horrible. Could it be the same problem ?

WTF should they care? Infiniti comps them for the cost of the warranty repairs anyway. It should be their pleasure to do the work because Infiniti PAYS them for it!
