Am I missing something in the trunk?

Can someone check their '06 coupe for me and see if they are missing something from that area in the trunk? I sent the dealer this pic and they said that there isn't supposed to be anything there. Thanks.

you are not missing anything, that is where the cover for the jack/lugwrench area clips in.

I was wondering the same thing and decided that the area was for a wheel chock Infiniti prolly sells at the parts counter. I just hav'nt looked for them or asked about it yet..who knows?.. looks like someone put some design effort into the area for some reason..

It's a Flux Capacitor, I have modified one to work with my G35.

Here is an explanation.

It consists of a box with three small, flashing incandescent lamps arranged as a "Y", located above and behind the passenger's seat of the De Lorean time machine. As the car nears 88 miles per hour, the light of the flux capacitor pulses faster until it has a steady stream of light. The stainless steel body of the De Lorean also has a beneficial effect on the "flux dispersal" as the capacitor activates"

In order to travel through time, it requires 1.21 gigawatts (GW) of electricity, originally supplied by a plutonium-powered nuclear reactor. Also, the De Lorean needs to be traveling at 88 mph (141.6 km/h), which is achieved by its gasoline powered internal combustion engine.

The plutonium reactor was replaced by a "Mr. Fusion" home energy generator from the future that was fueled by extracting hydrogen atoms from garbage.

Oh no. Enough time has gone by that the Flux Capacitor actually needs an explanation.

Where's my hoverboard?

That is so funny, I have been meaning to post that exact same picture ever since I got my 06, but I was too lazy to get my camera and go take the pic. I am glad somone else posted it, it sure looks like its supposed to hold 3 things, maybe a wheel choke, looks like an allen-key type thing and then something else. But I am relieved, cuz I thought I lost those parts or somebody jacked them at the dealership. It definitley isnt where the cover clips in.
