look in the mods forum, they have a few threads on the lights... or you can use the search and find all you need to know about where to buy these things... personally I was going to order from www.optauto.com but they didn't have the ones i wanted in stock... so used another site, I forget the name right now but it's mentioned on one of the first threads in the mods forum...
I'm thinking of getting those catz bulbs... but anyone know how reliable those bulbs are? With reports of the PIAAs burning out too fast, i'm hesitant to trust any aftermarket fogs...
and afro, before you blacked out the white part of the blue-white LEDs for the clearance light, did it look whiter than blue? I'm getting the white-blue PIAA LEDs for the clearance and i'm thinking twice since you posted about that ticket...

Catz bulb - the person that originally recommended them to me said they were. Who knows for sure. GIve me a year or two.
THe LED bulb was whiter, but the clearance light was more obvious. The strip was still the same blue throughout most of the area. But the SOURCE of the bulb was white. It looked like this, but see the source of the bulb... it was pure white and spread to a greater radius Probably one or two inches more, before it became the same color blue.
if you do a search for piaa led on this forum, i think someone posted a picture of the blue/white without being blacked out.

just want to make this more clear...
so afr0puff has PIAA Extreme White LEDs in his clearance, while
redwillow has PIAA Extreme White bulbs in his clearance.
and the LEDs turn out much bluer than just wedge bulbs, is that correct?
do your pictures accurately reflect how blue your lights are in real life?

yes, thats what i have in mine. I think they don't actaully look as noticeably blue as they do in that picture.

NO... I DO NOT HAVE A WHITE LED.
PIAA makes three different kinds of LED Wedge bulbs. Each bulb has TWO leds.
WHITE/WHITE
BLUE/WHITE
BLUE/BLUE
I have the BLUE/WHITE bulb, but the White bulb is blacked out as I explained above.

so how many bulbs does each clearance strip take? 1 per side? or 2 per side? i like the white/white piaa leds, are those the piaa xtreme white leds 168? whats the exact model # on the piaa xtreme white led white/white ones?

other than the fact that LEDs are suppose to last much longer and consume much much less power.
as far as I can see in the pics, the bulb appears more aqua/torquoise blue. and the LEDs come out more greyish/steel blue. unless the pictues lie, which they often do.

ok, so can someone please tell me the exact PIAA part # to get for the clearance strip and the clear corner bulbs? does the clearance strip use 1 bulb or 2? and i do not want it to shine that blue, thats too blue, i want it a whitish blue, so do i get the WHITE/WHITE LED ones? cuz i here you guys have BLUE/BLUE, and WHITE/BLUE, im confused, i want my clearance strip hardly blue at all... so which bulbs do i get?

HID headlights ARE Xenon headlights.
On page 3, Rashman corrected me saying "We don't have Xenon headlights, we have HID's". But High-Intensity Discharge headlights are Xenon headlights.

anyone know where i can order the PIAA XTREME WHITE LED 168 (PIA-19263)? Opt Salon has em, but they're out of stock, any other place with a good price? I can't find one...

Agreed, ALL HID systems use Xenon gas within the bulb. When an Arc of electricity is passed through it ignites the gas creating the light. Hey AFR0PUFF where did you get the catz from? I'm an not satisfied at all with the color or intesity of my ebay no name Halogens (too blue) and want to replace them with the closest match color wise. Thanks.
