Does anyone know what this is?
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has this problem. I recently got into a little accident with my coupe, swerving out of the way not to hit a dog I went over a median head first witht the front two tires and messed up the bottom front bumper, anyway took it to the bodyshop got new bumper and bottom plastic spoiler etc... now when I am driving when I cut the wheel all the way to one side I get a clicking noise?? Weird thing is that it only does it sometimes.... anyone know what it could be?
The CV joint was my first guess but wouldnt the car be out of alignment or pulling to the side, car has perfect alignment. It clicks only when the wheel is turning and is gettimg to the end..? Can I take this to the dealer to get this replaced?
get it checked right away, it could get worse and worse everytime you drive it.. you never know

Yes Superchargd is correct ... the CV joint in the front is for Front Wheel Drive or AWD vehicles.
I would take it in and have your service rep look at it...
There is another common clicking on the G35 is when accelerating from a stop or decelerating to a stop "axle issue" can't be positive without actually hearing the noise....
if you had a FWD or AWD vehicle...
A clicking noise is heard when turning that is the most common symptom of CV joint problems. One of the common failuers is a crack in the CV boot. This can but may not affect alignment...

It's a coupe so no CV joints. does the noise happen turning left or right or both?
does the sound come from both sides, it could be something as simple as haing one of the many plastic pieces torn or bent just bad enough to make minor contact. Is the car listing to one side of the other? Since it tracks straight it's probably not suspension related

When I hit the median, I broke a tiny piece off the radiator support, all the way in the bottom probably not more than a inch long of plastic, could it be this making the noise? It only happens sometimes and when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and right.
