Unhappy Goodbye my beloved G

I've decided to say goodbye to my G and this community. It has been a great experience owning a G, and I have enjoyed every second of it. However, I have decided that I want more performance oriented car with less luxury. G is a good performing car, but it is not a true performance car, which I want. G will go to my brother, and he will turbocharge it shortly. It will be getting Turbonetics single turbo kit and upgraded clutch at Altered Atmosphere in three weeks. He will most likely post here when he does take over my car. It's a good thing that my car will go to my brother since I will be able to drive it time to time... should be a blast with the turbo kit Although it is kinda sad that it's not mine anymore, but it's time to move on.

I'll be driving... a Subaru. Impreza WRX STi to be exact It is an 05 model with 10k miles and white in color. It currently has about 300awhp and I have big plans for it in the future. I'll post pics in Picture Share forum once I get it. I will most likely aim for 350awhp or so since I want usable power band, and make it a great handling car. It should be a fun project and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Wish me luck.

Thanks for making this a great community. I have learned a lot from here. Good luck with your G's!

Good luck man... I was hoping you would say the 05 model because the front of the new STI looks hidious, IMO. Good choice in car and wish you the best. Enjoy the AWD.

Good bye my beloved STi..
I wish I can keep it but I just drive the car wayy too much in the city so
the G will bring me to comfort.
Well, I will be taking over for my brother in this community.
I am going to take great care of the car and I will be posting reviews and pictures of the TN kit once it is done.
Enjoy the STi, I'll see you soon man lol

I don't deny that That is one of the reasons why I thought so hard about whether to trade or not.

Than why do people turbo or supercharge a G?
Why didn't they just buy a turboed car to begin with??
Why do people buy coilovers on a 3500lbs car?
Why do people want to go fast around the track in a 3500lbs car??
Why can't someone just buy a Z instead?
That's a pretty stubborn question that you asked there..
Also, he will still be happy if he didn't trade.
It was just a good opportunity for both of us.

Basher, Yeah, I did. You think I'm a f'n idiot? I decided I wanted a good looking daily driver with some luxury while compromising on performance when I bought the G. I was sooo close to buying a white 05 STi... I had been having second thoughts about my decision ever since, and then my bro shows up with a white STi... lol. I couldn't pass this offer up. I know what kind of car G was from the getgo. Doh.

ExWRXDriver, Thanks. As different as G and STi go, they do get cross shopped a lot by many. You'll enjoy the G but you will miss the performance... but G is a GREAT car nonetheless. Hell, I'm still having second thoughts every time I look at the G...
