it's saddening to see many G owners "leaving" or planning to leave the G family. i just got mine two months ago and i love almost everything about the car.. yes, "almost"..lol. hey, nothin is ever perfect, ok!

overall, im very happy with the car except for the few lil things that many have mentioned and beaten to death about.. such as the sh!tty bose, weak paint, few lil rattles here and there (mine is holding up pretty well so far tho.. knocking on wood).
however, one thing that REALLY gets me down is the power, or the lack of. when i first got the car, i thought...i'll be happy with nearly 300hp. however, after owning it for less than a month, i start to feel the lack of power. i think its mostly the weight of the car...its a PIG. however, it just doesnt feel like 300 horses. i dont know, maybe cuz my bud has a E46 M3 and i have driven that alot..and our G really is no comparison to the M3s stock to stock. M3 pulls sooo hard, yet ours dont. i dont know why. we put out similar torq..sure less hp, but still... maybe its true, German horses are stronger..lol;

anyhow, all in all, im still very happy with the car. its got decent power and awsome looks, but i think i'll def need a Vortech Supercharger. i think that will be the final step to ultimate happyness with my G..haha, we'll c.

those with Vortech, can you share some of your opinions?
and how much are they going for now for a full kit? where can i get the best price?

I like my G except it is too sporty to ride in for daily commute of 40 miles... I think every car has its problem.

Although the G does not have that much HP, but its handling is definitely promised. I saw the video clip of G vs. M3 and G did as great cornering as M3... But M3 basically smoked G on a straight line lol

The biggest issue with G is Infiniti's Customer Service... It just sux! I'll keep my G but I ain't gonna get any Infiniti in the future (unless the Customer Service is improved dramatically).

FYI a friend of mine owned a 2004 STi(bought it new) which he sold because he had a problem with oil consumption, and by that I mean the STi had less than a quart of oil left, mind you the oil light did not come on until then! He took it to the dealer and they stated that there was something wrong with the turbos. BS or not, my friend sold it. 2 months ago he bought a 2005 STI wit 6K miles on it. He changed the oil at the dealer with full synthetic mobil one. After a single autocross and a little over 2 months of ownership (about 1500 miles), the car is eating trough the oil. He started checking the forums and apparently there is something going on with STi's and oil consumption

german horses are no stronger. thats a myth.
293hp revup (05/06MT) Gs will lose to 333hp M3s because of a 40hp power deficit. If you could magically add 40hp, you'd be right with them.

Subies

I got my clear autobra done at a shop were the guy tunes Suburas. I spoke with for a while cus my bro has a WRX. He said that the 2.5 motor has oil consumption problems (which is now in the WRX as well as the STi) and Subura is just turning its head on this problem. Additionally, Japan is the only market that is still keeping the 2.0 motor, which he said is superior. Just thought I would pass this on.

Actually it's quite normal for buyers of sporty cars to get rid of them quickly. There's the never ending quest for the "perfect car." Buyers of cars like the Toyota Camry or Honda Accord hold on to them forever. These buyers just want inexpensive and dependable transportation.

I'm just confused here and wanted some clarification. So the remainder of your lease is around $15k, and this company will pay that off. That makes sense. You follow by saying that your car is worth more than that. More than the $15k remaining or the residual remainder that you haven't paid expected at the end of your lease term. Why would a company pay our your lease early, then pay more than the residual due to the increased value of the early payout. Where's the money in that?

Anyway, just looking for clarification.

Thanks.

And to everyone else, I love my G. It has strange noises at times but overall it's the best looking car out there with fantastic leather seats, interior look, and exhaust tone. It also holds its own with many performance cars. Revving the motor and shifting properly, lets me have fun with STI's and Z's all of the time.

Cool

I've owned my G35 coupe 6MT for only 4 months and my wife is already wanting something different (she drives it most as I drive my truck). We both love how the car looks and handles. Honestly this car doesn't make enough power for us. My truck has the Hemi and I'm a torque addict, lol. Now she wants something a little more luxury oriented (Mercedes or BMW or Lexus). Personally I want to keep it to trade it on the new body style G or the Dodge Challenger in 08'. After spending 39 grand (after financing+taxes etc) I shouldn't have to bolt on a $6000 turbo or sc to be happy. She says its only fun when she's ragging on it. We'll see, she usually gets her way, like most women. I test drove a Dodge Charger SRT8 yesterday. It's not a good looking car but I wanted to check out the power and that baby makes 420HP. It was no joke. That car flies. Only a late model Vette I got a ride in accellerated like that beast! Very impressive but I just don't care for how it looks.

THis company is ratted buy forbes and is a fortune 500 company. they has tons of awards because of the company that they are. THey have over 40 locations through the United states i believe and they recently branched into the North East and its close buy me so im going to check it out.

^ i just called them again to ask and they said they buy the car outirght from the lean holder company so they own the car. i asked if this is common and she said they do it all the time and there is a 99.9% chance that they can buy the car from the lean holder compnay.

PS. i called them so many times that when i asked the question the girl said she remebered my voice and already knew what i was going to ask lol.

Ya I am still considering getting rid of my G for a new King Ranch F250 or F350 so I can tow my trucks to the mountains for rockcrawling.
