03 G35 vs 05 350Z
Your friend is a bull****ter.
When I first read your post, the main thing that popped into my head was "There's no way in hell you can lose 500 pounds in a Z and have it be street-legal". Remember that a Z doesn't even have a back seat to remove anyways, so gutting doesn't even add as much of a benefit as it would to a G.
In order to lose that much weight, he would have to do many many things such as these:
-Lightweight wheels, drivers seat, exhaust, hood, battery(big savings with lightweight battery) and any other body panels that can be replaced with lighter versions
-Remove Spare Tire, Jack and Lug Wrench
-A/C Compressor Removal and possibly even the Ventilation System entirely
-Removal of Washer Fluid Pump and Reservoir
-Gutted Interior(Removal of passengers seat and its seatbelt, Stereo Head Unit and Speakers, all airbags, interior plastic panels and dash parts and maybe the headliner and carpet)
-Removal of exterior Lights(headlights, Taillights mainly)
-Remove Power Window Motors
-Go with even lighter aftermarket suspension components
Seriously.... The amount of weight your friend "Cliams" to have reduced his car by is completely rediculous for a street car.
Lightweight wheels and exhaust might save him a total of about 6-8 pounds per wheel and maybe 8-30 pounds of exhaust(depending on how much of it he replaced with lightweight parts) for a total savings of probably around 30-60 pounds realisticly.

Man u guys are noobs must i tell u EVERYTHING!!! 300-500lb weight reduction is sooooo easy.
1. Take out pass. seat & rear panels
2. remove floor caprtet, radio & headrest & roof panelling
3. remove spare & interior trunk panels
4. remove all A/C lines & anything A/C related
5. lightweight battery
6. lightweight wheels
7. CB hood, fenders, trunklid & doorskin
8. only use 4 lugs on each rim
9. lastly he swapped his 350z engine & trans with a '82 Datsun Sentra eng & trans
#9 may be the reason he lost the race so it all makes sense
