i got an 06 6MT coupe as my first manual too. Lets just say I stalled out a few times on the drive home...i'm guessing you had someone drive it home for you? Otherwise, i'm sure your post would have been full of much more frustration rather than "the ***** to get it." What a frustrating first few days that was .... soo glad its over and can finally enjoy the G now you'll be fine in a week, and more than capable in a few more. Just make sure you go out and practice everyday. And it helps to drive with somehow who knows manual well..they can give you tips as to what you are doing right and wrong

Yeah had someone ride it home for me.

At first I have to say I was worried sick. I stalled the first 3 times... so badly I got whiplash. But my launches have gotten much better since thanks to help from experienced people. I was paranoid that I was ruining my G! But the [experieced] people over at standardshift.com told me the car could take much more than violent stalls and not to worry about it.

Hopefully all works well

Our trannies do alot of "clanking" when the clutch and gas are not equalized. Have no worries, thats just how loud our trannies are. I guarantee you after a month, you will have mastered those 6 gears.
