WTF is that noise?!?!

I got in my car this morning to drive to work. Came up to a stop light, as I was waiting I heard a steady, high-pitched beep coming from the car. I looked all around the dash, no dummy lights were on. My seatbelt was on. I thought maybe it was something coming from the radio so I turned the radio off but the noise stayed on. Steady high-pitch tone lasted for about 10 seconds then stopped. Then a few seconds later started again, lasting another 10 secs or so then stopped, and never came back. Never saw any warning lights or other indications that something was wrong. Thoughts?

Turn your key to the on position with your engine not yet started, and make sure that your Tire Pressure warning light actually turns on in the gauge cluster.

In case you don't know what it looks like, it's an Exclamation Point (!) in the middle of the dash. I forget the exact location of it in the dash, but it should be somewhere in the middle, I think beween the tach and speedometer.

Could be something as simple as the light not functioning, but the Tire Pressure warning sound still works.

But as everyone else already said, it sounds like it's your Tire Pressure Warning noise.

Do you have the Navigation system? The Nav system is setup to warn you if you try to drive with any of your doors open and also warns you of a few other abnormal situations, but I'm not sure if it makes a noise too or if it just flashes the warning on the Nav screen.

it's an orange/amber idiot light on the right hand side. it looks like (_) with a ! in the middle of it. happened to me the first week i had mine, and didn't know wtf was going on either. pleasantly surprised it was just low pressure. went to walmart and got a cheap 5 dollar digital gauge, and sure enough a couple tires were around 31psi.
