G35C a dime a dozen..
G35C a dime a dozen..
Anyone notice that? Around where I live, Glendale/Pasadena/Burbank in Los Angeles I see an average of 8-10 G35 Coupes a day... It's like the 3-series already, and it's only been out for a year!
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
I hardly see any around where I live. I love it

It depends on where you are. Where I live (Santa Barbara area), I do not see that many (if at all) G coupes. I do see half a dozen Z's on a daily basis though. So, Z's are a dime in a dozen here....and I disagree that the G coupes are beginning to populate the streets like the 3 Series. Not even close.

Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
where i live in northern cal, i see perhaps 3-4 per week. and that's only recently because in the past i would be lucky to see one per week. as for the 3 series or even the 350z, i go down the block and i'll see at least one.
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
I guess it does depend on the area... In Los Angeles I see more G35C's than Z's by FAR. This has been a recent phenomenon though, at first all I saw were Z's, then in the past 2 months Z spottings have gone down and G's have replaced them... My theory is that people have sold their Z's and gotten G's :-P, or maybe people realized that for the same price you could get 4 seats instead of 2.

well if you see these cars on your commute, it could possibly be that you're just seeing the same cars over and over again... if you take the same routes everyday, then it's not surprising to run into the same cars everyday and think they were different... around NYC and Nassau county area, I see a couple every week of different coupes. I don't see any regularly on my commute so it's not as prevelant as other cars. But considering it's only the second year, you'll definitely see more of an influx of coupes this year... you have all those people who's lease is up or were waiting after the first year to get it... I never wanted the car because of the exclusivity, I wanted it cuz it's a kick *** car lol
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
I usually drive in the Valley & West LA areas (Los Angeles for those out of state). I have been seeing a lot more G35 coupes lately. Maybe 2 or 3 per day. I see maybe one or two Z's per week. I probably see 5-10 G35 sedans daily.
I see dozens of BMW's everywhere I look. So the G's and Z's are nowhere near as common as BMW's.
This is LA, so we see alot of cars and the G's are getting more plentiful, but it would still be years, if ever, before they approach the number of BMW's. If you have a G35 coupe you are no longer "the only game in town" but you are still in a very exclusive club (even in LA!).

So far I've seen 2 coupes and 3 sedans in the last 30 days (East Bay, CA), all standing out in an absolute sea of BMWs and Mercedes.

LOL... "Sea of BMW's and Mercedes" is right. It's funny when you are driving a particular car you tend to notice it a lot more. I was rolling around in my E46 M3 drop top the other day and noticed FIVE in one hour of driving... lol, so much for exclusivity the more expensive a car gets.
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
DUDE, about 3 months ago i was in the Irvine, west minister, and santa anna area (L.A.) or orange county...but i saw tons of G's as well...dude i feel ya bro! over here in central cal.... not that many G's over here...here in central cali there are nothing but Z's!!!! its a Zea of Z's!!!
Re: G35C a dime a dozen..
I can still go almost two months in Boston without seeing another Coupe. I am seeing more and more Sedans though, about 1 per week. Zs I see maybe once or twice a month.
Still can't cross the street without seeing a BMW.

Now start looking at 7 series BMWs and S class Mercedes. If you know to look for them, you will shocked at how many are out there. It is just what the price tag is that makes it exclusive.

i'm with JDMan. come out to the midwest (indiana) and it's the opposite. i see mainly sedans. but it's the BMWs and pickup trucks that are a dime a dozen out here.
