I don't think its difficult to drive. It just have a higher friction point on the clutch. Once you get used to it, there should be no problem.

Btw you can get the dealer to adjust the friction point of the clutch, if you feel comfortable with it.

I think he's talking about forced induction, not fuel injection.

leef, not trying to be rude, but honestly..if youre not sure what "FI" is (when talking about superchargers), you probably should have done more homework before ordering.

I figured out the clutch about 5 miles into my test drive.
No problems here.

I have no trouble in any gear at any range, but I can offer this; I do stomp the clutch hard from 1 to 2 and shift very fast; I don't clutch as far for other gears... This is not done only for the G, I shifted previous Nissans & Toyota's the same way... (240Z. 280Z, 300Z, and several Supras through the years...)

problem solved

OK guys there are two things going on here:
1. the transmission isn't fully broken in for about 17,000 miles, that means the notchiness will be noticable for about that long.
The notchiness will go away at about 17,000 miles, it did on mine.

2. The clutch shift point is very high in the stroke, and that combined with a short engagement area causes rough shifts (your foot is moving very fast by the time you get to the engagement area because of the long stroke it takes to get there). The clutch can't be significantly adjusted directly because it is hydraulically actuated.

I've cobbled together a small kit to lower the engagement point, pretty much solving problem #2. If anyone in So Cal wants to try this and report on it, drop me a PM.

I've noticed that the 1st to 2nd shifting is smoother with the VDC off.

i HATE driving with the a/c on. it makes my shifting twice as bad. even more agressive driving doesn't help with the extra load on the engine. windows down even if it's 110 degrees!

thats alot of unnecessary wear... by skip shifting, you are harming the synchro-mesh... might wanna just shift from 1st into 2nd.. not letting go of the clutch and then shifting to 3rd... that will prevent the unnecessary wear

YES!! I've been meaning to mention that. Just cruising slow I have no problems. As soon as I feel like a spirited drive is in order, the VDC comes off!
