Rear Driver Corner Window

Hey Guys,

Well, as I was approaching my car to hop in and ride home I noticed that my rear quarter driver side window had shattered (still attached together). As I was examining it I noticed that there was a hole the size of a 'BB'. The only thing I can really come up with is that some kids felt like messing around and decided to shoot it through my window. I'm upset becuase I'm a little tight on money right now and I know that this is just gonna cost a good amount. Does anyone know how much it would cost to replace this window? Would insurance cover it? Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you-

Try to go through insurance, if anything you will only have to pay your deductable and they will cover the rest, make sure the window costs more than your deductable first. You shouldnt get any points on your insurance being that you werent driving and it was vandalism.

living around some hoodrat fools in dallas, almost every car I've owned was broken into (via windshield). I now have a $50 comprehensive insurance deductible, which covers glass/stereo/wheels, etc..

which makes me ask you this... does that make your premium go up? also i heard that for hit and run (being that you are the victim) you just pay the deductable and everything is fine with no increase in payments... (true?)

yes, a lower deductible increases your premium. Not by too much, imo.

I was in an accident recently... which originally didn't require replacement of the window. However, it had to be removed and the glass company scratched (no, gashed) it putting it back in. Long story short, they needed to replace it and it came to about $380 from Nissan. Quite expensive for a small piece of glass. =\
