I agree, finding a used hardtop is going to be difficult.

And I do recall one member here posting pics of his cloth interior. Had to be an '03, as leather became standard very early.

I wish I had a sunroof
Just wondering....how much of a difference in headspace is there with the sunroof.

I've heard those with a sunroof saying that it can't be more than 1" or so of difference. Whatever.

I tried to use a point-of-reference that will be the same on all coupes. From the top of the window opening by the card-holder to the top of the roof at the same fore/aft point on the roof, it's about 4"-4.5" I measured about a 6-finger gap.

While these estimated measurements aren't accurate within small fractions, they should be more than accurate enough (within .5") to guage the difference between the hardtop and sunroof-equiped coupes.

I have just over a 3" (4-finger) gap above my head and I use a proper seating posture without too much of recline. Well, I prefer to. In my last sunroof-equiped car, I had to recline back uncomfortably to clear the roof. With my G, I sit where I'm comfortable and headroom is simply never an issue. Likewise, there's no need/desire to lower the seat for more clearance.

The headroom looks fairly cavernous because you can see how much room the sunroof assembly would take. The interior roofline matches the exterior roofline above your head, if that helps.

I think the difference between the two is probably about 2"-2.5" at a minimum. Likewise, a hardtop is going to have a bit more headroom than a sunroof along the side of your head. I can tell where the sunroof models curve, as mine dips up further than this curve before reaching it's main height. Wish I had a digicam handy.
