1/4 14.28 RED 5AT

These car is freaking fast for a automatic. My red 5AT ran a 14.33 bone stock at the track about a month ago and yesteray I raced my friends Acura TL TypeS supposely 0-60 6.2 1/4 14.7 and my car magazines say 0-60 6.3 1/4 at 14.48. My friend thinks he could beat me after seeing the stats so we went to the tracks for a race. I hit a 14.28 and smoked the TLS by 3+ car lengths as he finished with 14.92 I used MM and got a great launch and just hammered the tl.

Nice run! Just think if the auto can do that, the manual's probbaly capable of 14-flat.

With all that was going on at the time, do you remember at what RPM you were shifting gears in MM? Was it about 48 or 4900? Or were just going by feel? I'm trying to learn what a 5AT's peak HP is by gear, and at what RPM.

Carlos is right , you want peak horsepower so when you upshift the rpms come down to peak torque, consequently torque will work for you and take you to peak horsepower, and the cycle repeats in every shift.

Re: 1/4 14.28 RED 5AT

what did you run with ur 6mt?? have you tried with your g yet?? i mean i'm good driver but i don't race so i'm not a good racer but i did 14.3 at the track(also first time i went to track and run) and i got constant 14.2x after few tries... it's not that hard on AT to get those times..if i did it everyone else can do it...
