WTF!! Throttle body replacement!

@ 27K So I was getting off the freeway, hauling ***.. make the left turn @ about 50-55 and the car just goes non-responsive!! Everything shuts off including of course power steering!! Anyhow, long story short.. I called Infiniti. They're gonna take a look, but they've been having a lot of people come back with same problem. Anyone been through this yet?? I'm if Nor Cal.. Bay Area.

some G's with CAI's have this problem, but most of them say it happens at highway speed, when they put there car on neutral.

Yep. Do a search and you'll see alot of G's with CAI going dead, also while turning off the off-ramp.

I had mine replaced at 7k. I brought my car in for an oil change and when i got the car back, i noticed the "Service Engine Soon" light on and let the service writer know. They took the car back and they looked up the code. Said the TB needed to be replaced. Also said this was a common problem and it's a fairly easy fix. Something goes weird with the sensors.

My engine is stock, BTW. So it's not mods that cause it.

I'm just happy it happened while at the dealer and not while driving.

Yep happened to me back when I had the AEM intake. I tried EVERYTHING and it would still do it. I took it off and after that everything was fine.

Really? Despite the aftermarket mod and they still covered? Hmm I haven't encountered warranty related issues with Infiniti up until now. However, Nissan was really good when I had my 02 SE-R Spec V. So it's a common problem with AEM?? I'm gonna have to switch.

30,000 miles on my stock 04 5AT. Pulled out from a stop and car barely moved. Slip light, VDC off light, and SES light came on. Turned car off and restarted. All seemed well except SES light was still on. Took to dealer and it was my TB. They replaced during my 30,000 mile service.

Good to know. I dropped my G off late afternoon yestersday. I explained the problem to the guys their resoponse was "can YOU duplicate the problem"? I thought to myself.. sure let me kill myself in the process. Anyhow, they seem shocked and my discovery.. they'd get back to me when they found something.
