Coupe with Rear Active Steer??

Silly question BUT how can you tell if a coupe has Rear Active Steer?? Is there additional hardware underneith the car?

well.....Is it a black box near the rear diff.?? any help?

yea...of course the window sticker would let you know.......my buddy just got an '06 coupe (USED off a car lot). What im asking is, if you were to looking undernieth the rear of the car, what do you look for? a black box near the rear diff?

There's a motor and steering rack in the rear.

I believe its that part in the middle of the pic. It looks like a fist sized motor in front of the exhaust muffler and behind the black housing. Black housing should be the diff.

just be careful there have been a number of complaints w/ the RAS going out of whack when you hit a pothole... it's happened due to faulty driving

well i've seen a few cars with RAS -- coupes and M sports that if you get into a car accident or if you hit a New York City pothole it's sensitive to really get off alignment. me personally after driving a RAS coupe I feel that the steering is just too quick and the back end feels like it'll kick out right away.

Right, it has the feeling that it will kick out right away, and then instantly stabilizes on counter-steer. It adds a lot of agility that otherwise wouldn't be possible.
