Transmission - Take THREE!

Well, after having my tranny replaced earlier this year, its blown again. I have a 2003 6 speed, where if you shift from any gear into 6th, the tranny will grind.

I'm guessing that they never really replaced it the first time, that they may have swapped out a part and TOLD me they replaced it, but whatever it is, I'm pretty pissed.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, assuming they actually did replace it the first time?

wow...sorry to hear. I still have the original transmission on my 03.5 and have not had any grinding. I did have a very bad clutch squeek coming from the transmission and just had the pressure plate, flywheel and clutch replaced under warranty at 34k miles.

have you taken it back in to see what they say? maybe you should try a diff dealership this time.

I would take it to another dealer.... Contact damayor & take it by his shop. I had a few things that atlantic voided b/c of my mods but took it by Infiniti of Massapequa & replaced the parts with a smile on their face.

Honestly, even if I did what you're suggesting (I don't), it is literally impossible to kill a synchro in 8 months doing it. But I do understand what you're saying.
