It puts it in a lower insurance class than the 350Z. It's also a marketing tool.

2-seater sports cars tend to have higher insurance rates than a 2+2 or 4 seater

 

I modified my G35C and removed the centre console
I had a leather padded area added and a seat belt from the nissan suv
the seat is quite high its over the hump and the foot room is nil but its fine for my two younger kids 7 12
my eldest does not fit
its an idea that i am glad i did and cost only 500 cad with the belt

 

who would remove the center console the dealer or what

im assuming you have the 6MT model that didnt come with arm-rest, infiniti says they can install an armrest for a price.....but from now on, they will make it WITH the armrest
