gas tank ripped, spewed all over the highway

So i dropped off my gf, got on the turnpike and was happily driving home. i was in the middle tlane and all of a sudden there's this big black thing in the road. i didn't see it because the car in front of me just went over it too on a straightaway. It was a loud bang and i thought my tire blew but it didn't so i kept driving. THANK GOD someone pulled me over and they told me i was leaking gas..what would have happened if one of the brake sparks ignited the fuel...but i got on the shoulder and it looked like he gas tank and heat shields were shredded. I couldn't even see what it was but the cop drove me to the previous exit and we saw a sign, probably a road sign that a truck or someone dropped in the middle of the road. i am so upset but now im thinking i made it out without getting burned. I called the infiniti dealer and they will tow it to a dealer tomorrow. I'm wondering how much this will cost. I hope it's only the gas tank that was damaged. I'm going to call the turnpike authority and see what kind of sign it was and if I can get reimbursed, but i doubt it.

sorry to hear that man, the same thing happened to me the other night (sorta)
driving on the highway some SUV kinda went into a side where construction was happening. The SUV's back wheels threw cones on the road and i unfortunately hit one with my front bumper and went over it, the next day i checked walking to my car, i noticed a huge dent in the front of my bumper. Luckily i was already thinking of upgrading my front bumper, now i have more reason to...

Sucks that your G got messed up but consider yourself lucky man.

Getting burned is no fun. I got burned bad on my bike. I was in the hospital for a month and got skin grafts on both arms. I can't even find the words to even begin to describe the pain of having your arms lit on fire with gasoline all over them.

G35C?, 17202-ce800. $394.15 Do U have open recall for vent hose? If so have recall done and ask for deal on labor sinc thell have tank out! Recall pays 2.9hrs tank r&r pays 4.7hrs!!
Thats "warranty" time, expect more
Tell em you also have "axle click" warranty pays em another hour and w/have axles out anyway. Be nice (youll be amaized what most service advisors will do for a couple 6-packs )
