1st Autocross in G35

I raced in my first autocross since owning my G. I was really not sure how this car would handle since it feels so much bigger and heavier than my old S2000. I was impressed, it handles better than I thought. I placed 1st in my class and beat alot of other cars (raw time) not in my class that I didn't think I would. Overall, it holds its own pretty well. Alot of people were suprised that a G35 could run so fast. I'm just glad I did well and made the G look good out there.

Yeah. The G35 really is a great handling car, despite its weight.

What class is G in, I heard it got moved to F? I did some autocrosses when it was B and the G was no match for the RX-8's.

They are way lighter..and have a perfect 50/50 weight ratio..
+ all the reviews say that their handling is very neutral....

Congrats!

Here is a video of my autocross.

This is PRE sway-bars. Shortly after this autocross, I put on the Stillen sway bars, and boy what a difference in handling. Sway bars is probably the best mod I've done.

I was in F class. We compete now with the the 2006 mustang GTs, older firebirds and trans ams, among many other cars. There are not a lot of F stock cars, only three on the day I was there. But, I did run only 1 sec. slower than a boxter S, who won his class, and was not too far behind (less than 1 sec.) from a 99 M-3. Hopefully I can prove it can hang as I get more used to it.

Check the website, it will show you cars by class and times:

http://www.inr-scca.org/solo.php

I had the 15th fastest raw time of 46 and only two stock class cars beat (by 2 tenths of a second)/

Oh yeah, most importantly, 5th fastest on Pax, not bad for first time in the G.

What setting are you using on your sway bars?

I have them on Med/Med now...but I think I would be happy with Stiff/Stiff. I'll change the setting sometime when I find the time.
