ok i just got off the phone with a guy named miller from www.theexperience.com and was talking to him about my auto transmission and he told me about a set up for my car that will give those MT a run for their money
he said to go with a performance torqe converter and a shift kit and a 3.9 gearing diff and i should be suprprizing the hell out of alot of people. but he can explain it alot better then me.
they have a 350 that runs the 1/4 in 8.9 thats crazy but for all my AT riderz there is hope. i was wondering what my first mods would be and i know now.

Shift kit? This isn't a Chevy. The only way to achieve that is to have the tramsmission body modified by a few of the vendors. Starting at around a grand, then torque converter, tranny cooler, then rear end (loosing your cruise control in the process) ya for around 3000-3500 you can surprise alot of people but you still won't turn high 8's

 

^yea this whole thread seemed kinda fishy....high 8's ????.....i think that would be with a engine swap and a huge a$$ turbo kit....thats about 20 grand right there..

 

The gear swap is a good option... ...if you're willing to spend the money on it (or can get hooked up cheap). Definately something to consider, especially with the ease and consistency that the AT can afford on launches.

The downside is that it's even more costly to do this with the AT than with MT. Then again, this mod would be most appealing to me if I had an AT instead of MT.

 

swapping to higher gear ratios might take away your cruise control! lol i use it all the time so that would be a big deal to me..

lol didnt one of your friends or something also suggest you get a performance torque converter
