For the price of a FFR Cobra, I could build a Pinto and do 8's. What's your point?

in every which way (looks, handling, power, abilities, FUN!!!)

I suppose the only advantage teh Cayman has is that if you floor it in 3rd gear you have traction - cobra doesn't have any traction at WOT until 5th

Darn that pesky power

Oh that's the one you thought was "supercharged" right?

Um yeah, that cobra is fun, powerful, etc, etc etc.. But in no way should it be compared to a new Porsche. Fit, finish, reliablity, WARRANTY, not to mention the difference in tires. I mean really, "Cooper Cobra Radial RTs"??? I mean who puts those ancient rocks on their car?

yes, yes, i was mistaken about the s/c on that one, sue me

Reliability? W-a-r-r-a-n-t-y? AJ no know those terms. AJ only knows power

Any man who looks at a car that can do a sub 3second run from 0 to 60 (if you had traction, which is soooooooo not going to happen ) and then argues another car is better because of a warranty has obviously misplaced his ********* somewhere ^_^

THis is my favorite video to show people of a cobra with 'just' a 351w in it - http://www.fordcobraengines.com/cobraengine.wmv

Nothing beats that

Like I said, that cobra KIT car is a cool toy. That's about it. Just dealing with the sidepipes is enough to demote this think to weekend duty.

Dealing w/ the sidepipes? You mean avoiding them when exiting so you don't send yourself to the burn ward of the hospital That just makes it an eeven better experience

wasn't this thread about the op getting a cayman and not a cobra

but anyway, i would get the cayman just cause you dont see too many(well in my area) and would def give you a higher class status look. I love the G and Like the Cayman, but whatever decsion you make just be happy about it.

You must be by far the gayest person to ever register to G35driver.com
Have you not realized that no one cares about your stupid f*cking cobra bull****? Damn panzies...

To the OP, f*ck the cayman, its another overpriced German car. Yeah porsche makes good cars, but not for their price. That cayman looks like a damn frog. If I were you, Id get into an M3. Although they are slightly overpriced as well, to me its a better package than a Gayman S

One of my buddies just bought a Cayman-S. He bought it 3 days before an already-paid-for track day. It was brand new and he needed to break it in, so he threw me the keys since he didn't have the time to put 2k on it in 3 days. so, like a good friend, I took that car...(thanks again, Jeff)...and in one night, thanks to a whole lot of Rockstars, I drove it just over 800 miles. we're not talking straight line here, I took it up and down Highway 1 (west coast line) Let me tell you, that car is AMAZING. Everything about it is incredible...from a drivers perspective. I've driven my fair share of go karts and race cars, and this car still makes me go "wow!"...STOCK!
As far as spending more to get a 911..Don't do it. The cayman is faster on track than a 911 if you simply put an LSD in it. Porsche doesn't put an LSD in for political reasons. They don't want you buying the less expensive car that is faster than the more expensive...why would anybody buy the more expensive car to go slower? (I'm talking purely about track times, not looks, comfort or any other differences)

My opinion; You are going to have a lot of fun driving the Cayman. Do it if you havn't already.
