is 5.9% interest a lot for g35 coupe?

i went to talk to the dealer and they got my approved at first under my name for 7.9%, which is high and then underm y dads name at 5.9%, do you guys think this is too high? some ppl got 3.9%, but the finance lady told me those interest rates are for the g35 sedan, thats why they are low, but on the coupe its higher, whats the lowest interest rate i can get on a 2004 g35 coupe? do they negotiate on interest rates? i want to get down to 3% if possible, please help me if you guys know any tricks...

on the credit application the more your annual gross income is means the higher the interest rate will be right?

Too bad, I got 1.9% on my sedan. As if there weren't enough reasons to get a 4-door Z.

the finance lady told me that sedans have lower interest rates than the coupe... like 2.9% or so

I got 3.99% from E-Loan. 3.49% with automatic payments, I think. I have a credit score of 754. I'm going to see if the dealer can beat that though.
I'm getting a G35 coupe.

Sorry to keep ragging on you kid...but if you don't know whether the interest is applied monthly or annually, should you really be in the process of buying a car?

Anyways, I got 4.29%/60 mo back in May. Credit score of above 700 and down payment of only 3Gs on a coupe. 5.9% is high, but then again you are a liability being so young, even though your parents are co-signing the loan.

anyone else notice this guy asks a lot of questions? Half the [censored] you can figure on your own by doing a little research.

You should spend more time in math class and less time gawking at the car dealers window.

If you are close to or have just recently graduated from college look into Infiniti's sigGraduate program. At one dealership I qualified for 2.9%, but then again at another the best I could get was 4.4%... so don't forget to look around!

I was able to get 3.9% for 60 months with autopay on my coupe from CapitalOne Auto Finance online. I then went to the dealership with my check in hand and asked if they could beat it. They checked and quoted me 3.75% from a local lender. According to CapitalOne's website, they guarantee the lowest rate, but I just stopped at that point. I had already negotiated the price of the G, the trade-in and now the interest rate, so I was done. CapitalOne simply stated to destroy the check if not needed..no hassles.

A very quick way to determine whether their offered financing is market value is to try online lenders like peoplefirst.com and eloan.com. They usually get back to you in less than a day. Alot of people got outstanding rates, but some of those were through end of model year dealer promotions. And rates have begun to come up lately in general.
