I heard that it (peanut butter) also could help remove tar from your paint. I have not tried it.

I hear that using mayo on your hair instead of gel is better for your scalp?

It's probably a lot like Armor-All - looks really glossy/wet for a month or so, then it bakes off or fades to white residue. That's when you break the peanut butter out.

Quote: seems lilke a big waste of peanutbutter
Think of it this way though... Peanutbutter still is WAY cheaper than some of those products out there that claim to do the same thing but do only a mediocre job at it.

We all know that if you put oil on rubber and it'll shine black. I was thinking...what about Peanut butter makes it work? My guess is that it's just the oil in the Peanut butter. Try rubbing olive oil on your trim around the sideview mirrors and I bet it'd achieve the same result as what you got with your Peanut Butter. Or don't wash your hair for a few days, then try rubbing your head on your moonroof's rubber/plastic gaskets.

I kinda doubt Peanut Butter has a special ingredient ideal for removing wax - you're just seeing the effects of oil - peanut oil.

big up son the dawn liquid. that stuff strips wax faster and cheaper than anything out there.

I'm gonna have to try and use peanut butter to remove the road tar, but I wonder of goo gone would do the job just as well?

Not to sound like a total nerd: Dawn will do a great job of removing wax because like many dish soaps, it has a hydrophobic end, and a hydrophillic end that causes it to stick to the wax and wash away with the water. However, I'm not quite sure what in the peanut butter would make the wax come off...leading me to agree with AthensBlueG, that it's just the oil making it look nice and shiney.

So then...would organic peanut butter work? LoL
