Sounds like your already convinced... No matter what, for me it's still a FWD vehicle and I don't do that anymore and never will again... If it's not an inline mounted AWD (not transverse like the Evo etc.) or a RWD, I won't even consider it.

Yup, it's better to have awd of course. You know what, last year my car was only driven in snow ONCE...haha.

I bought it for 32+ before tax. After tax was 34K+. Had it since Christmas 04. So almost 2 years. That's about how much or more when you lose if you lease a car I think.

Not really convinced yet. This M/T comes and goes from time to time. I've thought about trading it in for TSX, WRX, Legacy GT (too expensive now). I have nothing against my G but just that I don't like driving automatic anymore.

My vote goes for the Subaru Legacy GT. You can pick up a year old model in the low-mid 20's I believe.

I would just keep w/ a G....I've also read the M/T article and sounds like a fast car. If you want one, act fast....only 5,000 a year are being shipped here. Get ready for some dealer mark up?

my gf has a mazda 3... And I dont like it at all... Besides performance, the foot rest isn't placed at the right spot and you can really stretch your left leg as much as in the G.

The tiptronic shift is absolutely weird, totally opposite from my G and bimmer. The ride is not quite smooth when you go above 80mph, but I am sure mazdaspeed 3 should have a much better handling.

Navigation system is absolutely hard to use, and the screen resolution ain't that great either.

What I like about is the look, and huge cargo space, and projector HID. But that's about it... lol I would say definitely do a test drive and see if you are feeling it.

I see. I never considered an automatic, I don't do those at all... To me, driving an automatic is like steer and press gas, I can go to sleep, driving manual is really driving and always fun, even in traffic (yeah, I said it).

Just came back from the mazda zoom zoom event. Drove quite a few cars today. Everytime I step into these M/T cars then I realize what I've been missing. The mazdaspeed 6 wasn't as fast as I thought and the handling was quite sloppy. Constantly losing grip in the corner. Didn't like the speed6 at all. Miata as always is a charm. Handlles and grips and drives like a go cart. Rx7, more like a powerful miata, handling is awesome. The shifts on the miata and rx8 is silky smooth. Drove the mazda 3 also (not speed 3). Its definitely lacking the punch but around corners I believe it out handles my G. I wish I can have the miata or rx8 but its out of the question since I am expecting a new born in about 6+ months and a four door is definitely a minimum requirement.
