I would go with the new car for one reason.

Because when you buy used,u dont know what your getting into.
Mabye its just me but, thats talking from experience.!
Good luck,i would take either one but if you ask me?
Always go new.!

I looked at an 04 Laguna Seca M3 before getting the G last week. It would have been my choice were it not to have been what they'd given me for my S2000, and the amazing lease deal Infiniti is offering now.

If you have the means, by all means, go with the M. You could always lease a G for 300/mo!

yeah...M3 if it has low miles, taked care of really well, etc.
not a huge fan of used cars because of things you have to look out for...
i have 05 G coupe and thinking of getting 06 G coupe...except this time, it's gonna be manual.

GTR, new body M3 is coming out but i never buy 1st year car because they tend to have lots of problems.
good luck

Carbon or Jet Black on red SMG with Navi would be VERY and I mean VERY hard to find, especially with the right mileage and condition. If you have your eyes on one, go run and buy it. A good tip about buying any used car is to not be so particular about color combo and options.. pay more attention to the condition of the car and service history. It's a car that can handle a lot of abuse, but don't expect the previous owner to have only driven it to the grocery store on Sundays.

Living in NJ, I'm sure you won't have a problem finding a low-mileage babied weekend/summer car and trust me that's what you want. Whether or not is has the hideous imola red leather shouldn't matter that much. It's always safe to buy a CPO car from BMW with a 6yr/100k warranty, so your local BMW dealers' lots would be the first place I'd hit up.

thanks for the feedback guys. the m3 would def be cpo no older than 04 but trying for 05. the g35 would probably be a short term lease like one to two years because im waiting to see what the new m3 looks like plus im hearing that the g35 coupe is kinda girly ( not necessarly my opinion) . also the new g35 coupe is coming out so id like to see that too. question, does any one know when it will come out or any info on it, maybe a link or something to check out?

When I was looking for a car last year I was in the same position as you.
I also wanted an M3/M5 but opted to get a brand new G35 cause of previous experiences with used cars.
Around here M3 would just blend.
I see at least 3-4 BMW 3 series with in a block or miles when going to work.
My choice to get the G35 was based on that nothing on the road looks like it unlike the 3-series and M3.
The next model M3 is going to walk all over the G35 that has already been decided so if I were you I would look into a 2yr Lease for a coupe to buy you sometime.

m3, gotta love the smg.

Its a used car though so just be very careful.

The G35 coupe is a safe buy if you don't want any headaches because its under warranty.
