Recieving coupe soon - suggestions too keep an eye
sorry about the subject title ran out of room and couldnt make any sense with it
Well i will be be picking my coupe up with in a week or so. I am currently a sedan owner and have been paying more attention to that forum than the coupes. So i was just curious of things i should keep an eye on before i take my delievery. ie Rattles, brakes any tsb's that i should be aware of? Does the dealorship ussualy go in and perform all the bulletins before the purchase?
Thanks
Marcel

Hey Marcel, Congrats on your new Coupe, man. I picked mine up last Tuesday: D/G , Charcoal ,A/T, loaded. Love the car. I posted a rough and brief comparo late this afternoon, but only driven 150 miles so couldn't relate too much:P). Tell me about your new Coupe--how equipped, what made you trade, decent trade in or sold private, etc....
Don't know if dealer will address any outstanding tsb's , probably not until issues appear on the car. Not all cars will have the problems and not all dealerships will be aware of all the issues, (or tsb's & recalls). Where I live, I usually am aware of issues b4 my dealer ....Your's may be more enlightened.
If you're getting an A/T let me know and I'll tell you about how & what I've learned so far. Funny stuff. and READ the manual. Don't make the same mistake I did and assume that there's no important diffs. There aren't so many but there's a few important ones! I'm embarrased to say that I didn't read the manual (from cover to cover) only scanned it. Figured I knew enough from studying the Sedan's book......NOT!!!!!!!.....
Car is great! You'll love it a little more than the Sedan .....provided you don't need the other 2 doors, and a roomy back seat area or trunk. Visibility isn't as good as Sedan but that's to be expected with the body style. Man this puppy handles real well and feels so sure and solid. A little firmer than the Sedan but not harsh. Power ??? MORE!
Headroom could be an issue if you're over 6'. I'm 5' 11" and have about 1.5" to spare with the seat adjusted to my liking.
Let me know how it goes. As I get more miles, I'll have a better idea of what's what. but if first impressions mean anything- "THIS CAR IS DA BOMB"

Hey,
I just got in from dallas with my brand new 6mt briliant silver coupe. It is really such a beauty. The clutch on this car is giving me a real hard time. I just cant seem to adjust to its sensitivity. But of course i only have 50 miles on it. And most of that is highway. Well tommorow i plan to drive it around neighborhoods and just work on my low speed gearing. I cant wait till I really master the transmission. For those of you like me who are having a lil tough time with it, all i can say is dont give up, we will get it eventually.

Nice choise , Man, BS is sweet. You had to have a 6M/T eh?
That and Brake issue. The clutch will 'grow' on you, but try not to be distracted by all the stares and attention you get.LOL ...This ride gets even more looks than the Sedan! I hope you took the K&N out of the Sedan b4 trading???? It's good for about 5HP. not to mention the cost.
.........ENJOY............
